Why work at Boston Energy?

We have invested over £2.5m in technician training since 2012, creating several development opportunities for our technician workforce. From entry-level positions up to site management and white-collar positions, we have roles to suit all experience levels.

We also aim to create long-term relationships with our technicians, supporting their development and ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge for their next step. We work closely with our technicians to ensure they are getting the most out of their careers with us.

We recently spoke with Graham, a Troubleshooter with Boston Energy, to learn more about his experiences as a wind technician. After a long career in the motor trade, Graham utilized his transferable skills to launch his career in the wind industry with Boston Energy. In the last 7 years, from his first day as a Basic Technician, we have supported Graham to achieve his aspirations of becoming a Troubleshooter.

“Your workplace is never the same. One day you could be working in Northern Sweden, and the next, 40 miles offshore, surrounded by the sea. The freedom of working outdoors, regardless of the weather, is exhilarating. It’s an adventurous environment with much to consider – it’s certainly never boring!

My journey in the wind industry has only ever been with Boston Energy; they gave me the opportunity to get started which I am extremely grateful for. Everyone in the office I’ve worked with has always been really helpful and supportive.”
