We’re delighted to share that our Project Management Officer Oliver Langley has been named as a Hull & Humber Top 30 Under 30 winner.

Oliver is one of 30 rising stars from businesses across the region who have been recognised as among the area’s brightest young business talents.

They will now take part in a year-long development programme, culminating in a glittering awards ceremony at the end of the year.

As part of the Top 30 Under 30 programme, each of the winners will undergo 12 months of development in line with the Leadership Excellence Acceleration Programme (LEAP). The process not only equips each winner with the skillset to become effective leaders, but also provides an opportunity for businesses to recognise and invest in their own young talent.

Oliver said: “I knew I’d been nominated for the programme, but having seen the level of talent selected in previous years, I didn’t think for a moment that I’d actually win!

“I’m really looking forward to taking part in the coaching programme and expanding my leadership skills. I’m excited to grow not only in my career, but also as a person, as I go on this journey.”

Since joining our team in January 2022, Oliver has played a key role in the growth of our business, and in turn, has developed his own capabilities and confidence.

He has been instrumental in recruiting technical staff internationally and helping to expand our office-based team, during what is a pivotal time of growth for our business.

Oliver was also at the forefront of the project to relocate the business to our new head office at Hesslewood Office Park, near the Humber Bridge, with the move taking place last September.

Oliver, who is 29, added: “Since joining Boston Energy I have been able to significantly broaden my horizons. I’ve not only had the opportunity to lead a team, but to actually recruit and develop a team from the ground up.

“Last year I had the pleasure of leading on the project to relocate the business from Beverley to our new home at Hesslewood Office Park.

“I oversaw and managed the project, and worked closely with team members from across the business to create a new office space which encompassed the shared vision for the future of our business.

“I’m incredibly grateful to my colleagues who have helped to mould me into the person I am today. I wouldn’t have got to where I am without them.”

Our CEO, Julian Cattermole said: “This is a fantastic achievement, and we are incredibly proud of Oliver – particularly as more employers than ever nominated deserving staff this year.

“His commitment, skills, and attitude have really made a difference to our company and it’s great that he has been recognised by this scheme.”

The prestigious Top 30 Under 30 2025 list celebrates the brightest young talent across the Hull and Humber region and plays an important role in recognising and inspiring the next generation of business leaders.

Simon Jones, founder of Hull & Humber Top 30 Under 30, said: “This year, we’ve seen more employers than ever nominating their very best talent, making the judging process the most difficult to date.

“This group have made a significant difference to their organisations, to their teams and to the local business community, and it is an honour to showcase who they are.”
