Boston Energy is proud to announce it has received a Bronze Medal from EcoVadis, a globally recognised sustainability rating platform. The rating validates the company’s commitment to sustainability and demonstrates its responsible business practices.

The EcoVadis assessment evaluates 21 sustainability criteria across four key areas: Environment, Labour and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement, recognising companies that have demonstrated a strong sustainability management system. The assessment places Boston Energy among the top 35% of all organisations assessed by EcoVardis in the last year and highlights the company’s progress in integrating sustainability principles into its operations and supply chain.

Jonathan Godber, Chief Financial Officer at Boston Energy, commented:
“We’re proud to have achieved an EcoVadis Bronze medal. This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our teams across the business. This rating marks an encouraging step forward as we continue to evolve and embed responsible practices in everything we do.”

EcoVadis’ business sustainability ratings are based on international sustainability standards such as the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, the International Labour Organization conventions, the Global Reporting Initiative standards and the ISO 26000 standard. The ratings provide an evidenced-based analysis on performance and an actionable roadmap for continuous improvement.

“We are incredibly proud of the role we play in the transition to a net zero economy.

Our ESG Strategy is the foundation for our commitment, providing a structure for us to focus our efforts over the coming years to ensure that every action we take makes a positive impact, not only in the wind energy landscape but also to our employees, the communities we serve, and the world we share,” added Godber.

Boston Energy supports the global transition to renewable energy by providing workforce solutions and services to the wind industry. Sustainability is a responsibility the company takes seriously with alignment to UN Sustainable Development Goals 3, 5 and 13 and The Wind Energy Initiative’s drive for common sustainable business practices and elevation of the performance of suppliers within the wind industry. The company seeks to operate in a way that respects people, the planet, and the long-term health of the industry.

“It is our intention that our work directly contributes to a cleaner, greener planet,” summarised Godber.
