Boston Energy Enters European Renewables Market With Supporting Role to Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy B.V. in the Netherlands

Boston Energy is delighted to have begun supporting Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy B.V. in The Netherlands with service technicians on the Gemini maintenance campaign.

In The Netherlands, Siemens Gamesa is active in installing onshore and offshore wind power plants. After the installation, the company will also service the wind power plants.

Gemini is one of the world’s largest offshore wind parks, both in terms of size and production. The wind park is located in the Dutch North Sea, 85 kilometres north of the Dutch coast and is not visible from the shore. This location offers some of the highest and most constant wind speeds on the Dutch part of the North Sea. With a total of 600 MW capacity, Gemini annually produces about 2.6 TWh of renewable electricity, sufficient for approximately 1.5 million people in The Netherlands (www.geminiwindpark.nl).

The vision on safety, quality and values that Boston Energy shares with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy B.V. led to the co-operation between both companies. This contract in The Netherlands enables us to spread our progressive work ethic, attitude, enthusiasm and family culture into Europe. Boston Energy is committed to delivering a positive outcome and we are proud to support Siemens Gamesa in their service operations for Gemini.

Adrian Yeaman – Senior Operations Manager at Boston Energy said “I am delighted Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy B.V. has had the confidence in Boston Energy to award us with such a prestigious contract.
