Boston Energy secures first South-East Asia project in Taiwan

Boston Energy has secured its first project in South-East Asia, expanding its already diverse location portfolio and supporting further job opportunities for technicians in the wind industry.

Going from strength to strength, Boston Energy entered the US wind energy market successfully in 2019 before the pandemic and now the organisation will be supporting a long-time client with their latest project in Taiwan.

Boston Energy will be supporting the client by providing a number of turbine technicians and other associated roles to help deliver the project, which will start later this year. As well as this new addition, the organisation has also been working on the Moray East and Triton Knoll pre-assembly projects located in the UK for Vestas.

Group MD, Mark Parkes said: “I am delighted to have secured our first contract in the fast-growing South-East Asian wind energy market for a prestigious client, and one we have worked with for more than five years, successfully delivering a number of other pre-assembly projects in the UK and Europe.”

This news is a great addition to an already successful year for Boston Energy who has also recently celebrated its GWO course success, with 332% increase in bookings in 2020. Following the opening of Boston Energy Training Centre in 2019, located on the grounds of the Head Office at Norwood House, Beverley, the company has seen a continued and sustained increase in interest and online bookings of its portfolio of GWO training courses which include Working at Height, Fire Awareness, First Aid, Manual Handling, Slinger Signaller and Advanced Rescue.

Director of Energy for Boston Energy, Julian Cattermole said: “I am thrilled to see our GWO course sales continue to grow and it is a result of technicians enjoying the GWO (and other) courses we provide and giving positive feedback to their peers and colleagues about our services.

“We also are based in a stunning location, with industry-leading training equipment and facilities, and this all factors into technicians choosing Boston Energy for their training.”
