Transfer Technicians employed at Boston Energy since 2012.
The Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) highlights a significant workforce challenge: “the global wind industry will require nearly 600,000 technicians over the next five years. To keep pace with this growth, 43% of them will need to be new to the industry, joining from an education and recruitment pipeline”.
Our Transfer to Wind programme provides support for those looking to start a career in the wind industry from various pathways, including veterans, those currently serving in the armed forces, and those with transferrable skills from other industries. Alongside this our Women into Wind programme looks to empower women to take a leap into a growing industry through mentorship and hands on training.
