Health & Safety Advisor

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a positive health and safety culture across our onshore and offshore sites, ensuring that all health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to, and helping to prevent workplace accidents and injuries. support the continual improvement and growth of Boston energy.

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the ongoing development of our Health and Safety management systems by providing
    • subject matter expertise
    • support to create and maintain policy & procedure documents
    • legal compliance evaluation & monitoring
  • Supporting live operational requirements by
    • creating & reviewing risk assessments
    • investigating Accidents & Incidents
    • internal audits
    • site Inspections
    • ensuring delivery of customer H&S requirements
    • supporting the delivery of new starter inductions & refresher training
    • Regular safety statistic reporting
  • Building a stronger Health and Safety Culture
    • promoting a positive health & safety culture in the workplace
    • client & Technician Engagement
    • collation, reporting & analysis of HSE data to identify areas of
    • development & delivery of Toolbox talks, safety alerts and general communications to technicians
    • Leading monthly safety and well-being initiatives

Reports to: Health and Safety Manager

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

  • GCSE grade A-C / 9-4 in Mathematics & English

Minimum Qualification requirements:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety Management
  • Auditing Qualification
  • CDM 15

Preferred Previous Experience:

  • Experience in a similar role, or has worked within the wind industry
  • Knowledge of ISO standard 45001, and GWO standards is beneficial but not essential
  • Experience of implementing a cultural change plan
  • Experience in carrying out Accident Investigations to the highest standard
  • Previous successful management of CDM sites

  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to conduct training sessions and presentations.
  • Proficiency in using health and safety software and tools.

Additional:

  • Full UK driving licence – regular travel to client sites across UK and Europe will be required
