Vacancy Description

We are currently looking for a SHEQ Manager to manage the Health & Safety, Environment and Quality systems for the Bostonair Group.

Location: Norwood House, Beverley, HU17 9ET, UK

Job Type: Full time

Responsible for:

  • Daily management of the Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality systems for Bostonair Group, ensuring legal compliance
  • Implementation and management of ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001 and UKAS 17020, GWO Training accreditations
  • Develop management systems and maintain them within our My Compliance software
  • Undertake or supervise audits on the above systems
  • Deliver SHEQ training
  • Undertake site inspections and audits and develop action plans
  • Investigate accidents and incidents
  • Achieving new accreditations for standards and training as required
  • Assisting competitive bid processes with SHEQ related content
  • Maintain robust systems in accordance with the legislative and commercial requirements of our organisations

Reports to: Head of Energy

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health
  • Training qualification
  • Auditing qualification
  • Must be educated to degree level of equivalent

Minimum Previous Experience:

  • Implementing SHEQ management systems
  • Accident investigation
  • Auditing experience
  • Training management and delivery

Other Critical Skills & Requirements:

  • Must be able to demonstrate detail and logical thinking skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills up and down the business and with clients throughout the UK and Europe.
  • Must have a flexible can-do attitude and be adaptable to working is a fast-moving business
  • Must be prepared to travel particularly throughout the UK and Europe and occasionally this may be at short notice.
  • Previous knowledge of the Wind Energy Sector, Offshore Sector or Aviation will be an advantage but not critical.
  • Attend operational meetings as required
  • Must be able to demonstrate creative thinking and problem-solving skills
