Vacancy Description

The position will be based from Beverley, East Yorkshire and the direct report will be the Head of Energy. The main responsibilities of this role will be :

  • Leading a team of individuals based at head office and remotely, to deliver Wind Turbine maintenance & service work, managed services and special project support
  • Technical evaluation of potential projects for viable delivery to cost and quality specifications – in preparation for accurately pricing tenders & work packages
  • Manage a variety of customer/project contracts
  • Ensure relevant contractual content and KPI’s are communicated to and understood by Technician teams and expectations are set for successful delivery of service
  • Preparations of RAMS & Processes to deliver safe and efficient delivery of maintenance/inspection services
  • Meet with customers to discuss project planning, maintain excellent working relationships to ensure their needs are met
  • Monitor project progress to ensure completion targets are met and that project profitability is achieved
  • Prepare weekly / monthly reporting to communicate the progress of all live projects and the forecasting on future work
  • Planning resource required to deliver live and future projects
  • Work with the Head of Business Development, providing support and advice on new potential business/project opportunities
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes and devise plans to implement these changes
  • Comfortable delivering multiple projects at the same time
  • Demonstrate the company values of quality, reliability, integrity, safety and fairness through your own actions and the way that you lead your team
  • Ensuring team adherence to the use of company systems so that information is logged correctly for recall and reporting purposes
  • Ensure team adherence to Group process and quality procedures
  • Communicating closely with Group departments such as Finance and Marketing

Requirements

  • Must have strong IT skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate significant technical and engineering knowledge of the sector
  • Must have worked in the wind industry in a technical and managerial role for at least 5 years
  • A willingness to travel around the UK and Europe to develop new markets and maintain customer relations
  • Must have a good commercial understanding of business
  • Creative problem-solving abilities
  • Previous management of a multiple-customers
  • Previous management of teams
