Over many years of operational support to the Wind Energy Industry, Boston Energy has built a highly experienced management and loyal technician team: working together deliver the Group core values of safety, quality, fairness, integrity and reliability.
Many of our management team are also ex-armed forces and continue the sense of belonging into civilian life with Boston Energy.
Ed joined Boston Energy in 2024 as Global Account Manager, bringing his extensive experience to the Commercial team. Ed began his career as a Mechanical Engineer in the Offshore Oil and Gas industry, contributing to major projects across the UK and EU. In 2018, he transitioned to the wind energy sector, serving as General Manager and Director for a UK-based subsidiary. With a deep understanding of the industry and well-established relationships with key OEMs, Ed is adept at aligning strategic roadmaps with customers’ core values and driving operational excellence in partnership with Boston Energy’s broader team.
Neil joined Boston Energy in 2014 as an Offshore Technician. He has since worked across various manufacturer platforms in Europe up to site manager level and worked in the United States as a Technical Field Advisor, Technician Supervisor and Project Coordinator. In 2021, Neil took on the role of Vice President of Operations managing business and operations in North America. In 2022, Neil took on the Head of Pre-assembly, Construction and Commissioning role and is responsible for our projects in the UK, Europe, North America and Taiwan, as well as completing new project assessments.
Colin joined Boston Energy in 2021 after spending 12 years in business development almost exclusively in the Offshore Renewables sector. Before this, Colin was involved in designing a next-generation turbine installation vessel and has also spent time as a Tidal Turbine Developer. With huge amounts of experience and knowledge of the Offshore Wind sector, Colin will support Boston Energy with our ongoing and future projects.
Guy joined the Boston Energy training admin team in 2018 after studying History at university. Guy has previously worked in service industry management for 6 years followed by local government (NZ) and education (UK). In 2022, he moved into his new role as Head of Operational Support where he is responsible for travel, training, overseas requirements, stores and equipment.
Jason joined in 2016 as Technical Support and Training Manager, after working in a similar role at HMF UK for a total of 9 years. At HMF UK, Jason managed offshore and onshore wind farm engineering projects and maintenance work. He previously ran his own company as a Commissioning Engineer in offshore wind farm construction projects for 4 years. Jason has been involved in Lifting, Crane Operations, Training and Engineering for over 30 years.
Katie joined the Group in 2014, starting in an administration role for the Aviation division. Through a strong focus on detail and a determination to progress, Katie was quickly promoted to take additional responsibilities and became an Account Manager within the Energy Team, completing audits and safety processes. In June of 2020, Katie accepted the role of Group QSHE Manager, working to gain NEBOSH, IOSH and ISO Auditor qualifications.
