Challenge
Boston Energy was approached to support a critical wind energy project after the customer’s existing supplier failed to meet the required volume of skilled tower technicians. This shortfall placed significant pressure on the customer, creating project delays and operational challenges. Our ability to step in, stabilise the workforce, and restore productivity was key to ensuring the project’s success.
Resolution
We were approached by MHI Vestas who asked that we increased our involvement in the project to resource all vacant positions as quickly as possible and through having a regular site presence help bring stability to an unstable workforce.
Response
Boston Energy’s operational recruitment team worked “around the clock” to take every step possible in the recruitment process to make sure we appointed Technicians that were most likely to stay for the required period minimising further turnover. A site visit plan was agreed with the customer and dedicated operational delivery resource was implemented.
Result
The project ran at the required resource levels, morale on site was restored and then importantly maintained. The MHI Vestas Management team were able to focus on their responsibilities to ensure the project was successfully completed. As a result of our involvement in this Boston Energy were awarded the Sea Green Project without having to go through any separate Tender process.
