If my Project Coordinator is away, who do I contact?

If your project coordinator is away, please reach out to your Project Manager or Senior Project Coordinator, who’ll be able to support with any queries.

How can I order new workwear during the season?

Please reach out to your Project Coordinator, who will let you know if this is possible, and the timeframes involved.

Do I contact my Project Coordinator for training and travel?

For any queries, please contact your project coordinator, who’ll be able to help you.

Who do I contact with any pay queries?

For any pay queries, please contact our payroll department via email on Payrolladmin@bostonenergy.co.uk

Can I book my own accommodation?

Yes, your work assignment will state how much you can claim back for accommodation. This will need to be claimed via web expenses with a receipt or invoice attached.

How can I upskill in my current role?

Boston always aims to upskill its workforce, and each case will be reviewed individually.

What can I claim back on web expenses?

On web expenses, you can claim for fuel/mileage or accommodation if booking yourself. Anything else must be approved by your Project Coordinator before submitting on web expenses.

Expenses received up to and including the 10th will be paid into your account for the 20th of the same month. Expenses received after the 10th and up to and including the 20th will be paid by the 2nd of the following month.

Am I allowed a hire car?

We will aim to provide a hire car for mobilisation and demobilisation if requested. However, we wouldn’t be able to supply a hire car for the entire rotation.

Can I have my own accommodation?

We will try to accommodate any requests for accommodation, but due to availability and locations, we can’t promise these will be met.

When do I get paid?

Payday is the 15th of every month, or the last working day if the 15th falls on a weekend or Bank holiday. Payslips will be accessible at least a day before payday.

What do I do if I am off sick?

You must immediately inform your Project Coordinator and your site contact. Please see our sickness policy for more information.

What locations do you work in?

We currently operate across the UK, Europe, North America and Taiwan, with plans to continue to expand our reach.

Can I work abroad as a UK-based tech?

We can offer technicians the opportunity to work outside of their home-country on a project-by-project basis
