Many of our management team are also ex-armed forces and continue the sense of belonging into civilian life with Boston Energy.
Julian started his career in the Royal Marines where he served for 7 years. Before joining Boston Energy in 2019, Julian spent 20 years developing his skills and experience in a number of leadership roles across multiple sectors. This included the renewable energy sector, with a multi-country focus on business growth, achieved as a direct result of quality service and customer satisfaction.
Jonathan joined Boston Energy as CFO in 2023. He is a Chartered Accountant, qualifying with EY in 1998 and also holds a degree in Aeronautics from the University of Southampton. His experience involves working within service and technology industries, working with plc and private equity investors. He has previously held senior finance roles at Giacom, KCOM Group and HomeServe plc.
Originally from Scotland, Stuart has a wealth of experience across the engineering and renewables sectors. Stuart began his career as a Mechanical Design Engineer before globetrotting throughout his career, from the UK, to Europe and across to the US. Stuart is not new to our industry, with his renewables career beginning in OEM and ISP environments working with Senvion, then known as REpower. He joins Boston Energy as Chief Commercial Officer, where he will be identifying and delivering the roadmap for growth, improving processes, looking for new growth opportunities, as well as managing and supporting the commercial functions within the business.
Alex Baker joined the company at the beginning of 2025, bringing 23+ years of successful and broad experience in leadership, project management, design, engineering, and assurance within the energy industry, including 14 years of Offshore Wind sector experience from FEED to O&M. Prior to this role, Alex was a Senior Director at Worley, where he played a key role in driving major initiatives and achieving significant milestones. His expertise in operational efficiency and commitment to building a culture of safety and innovation make him a valuable asset to the team.
Laura joined the team in 2024, having previous experience in leading an effective people team, supporting senior managers with people focussed business strategy. Results orientated with a background working in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and the Renewable Energy Sector, Laura has a track record for leading corporate growth and stabilisation by designing and implementing effective people programs. Working effectively with colleague forums and unions, Laura has a passion for colleague engagement, always bringing the people element into the professional and dare we say it, a bit of fun!
Liam joins Boston Energy as our Health and Safety Manager, bringing a distinguished background and extensive expertise. He began his career with seven years in the Royal Engineers, serving in various international locations. Following this, Liam spent a decade refining his Health and Safety Management skills across multiple sectors, including construction, services, logistics, rope access, engineering, and forestry. He has consistently demonstrated his ability to lead teams in isolated and challenging environments while adhering to stringent Health and Safety protocols. Liam is a certified Safety Professional, holding qualifications from NEBOSH, IOSH, and his ISO 45001 Lead Auditor. His expertise enables him to drive a comprehensive global safety improvement roadmap for our operations. His appointment underscores Boston Energy's commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards across all our projects worldwide.
