Meet Recruitment Resourcer, Adam!

<

Tell us a little bit about yourself! What do you get up to in and out of work?

I work as a Recruitment Resourcer here at Boston Energy, specialising in Onshore Service and Pre-Assembly Projects. Within this role, I look at providing both experienced wind turbine technicians with suitable projects.

Joining Boston Energy was a shock to the system for me as it was the first time I was introduced to the wind industry. But since joining everyone has been so welcoming and they helped me develop the necessary skills and knowledge required to provide our technicians with the best possible opportunities.

Outside the world of recruitment, I enjoy keeping fit, most notably hiking and rock climbing (whilst not being any good at the latter). In addition to this I would like to consider myself fairly adept at some musical instruments even though I can imagine anyone who hears me would tell a very different story.

What made you want to change careers and work in the wind industry?

I always had an interest in the renewable energy industry – more specifically Hydropower. After a lot of research into wind energy, I realised that this is the way forward for the world and I wanted to be a part of that change, especially after the Net Zero pledge that many countries have set targets for.

This is how I found Boston Energy and the role I am currently in. Before this, I never considered a job in recruitment, but after my first shift with Boston I fell in love with the position and I’m glad I made the decision to be where I am.

What would you say is the most rewarding thing about your career now?

The most rewarding thing about my career, and I imagine all other recruiters within Boston Energy would agree, would be when I’ve been speaking with a candidate, get them accepted on a job with the customer, and can begin going through the process of onboarding with them.

I also enjoy visiting our technicians on-site and seeing them thrive in their new roles.
