GWO Fire Awareness @ Boston Energy

<

Boston Energy have been conducting GWO accredited Technical Training for Wind Turbine Technicians since 2019, based at our purpose-built training facility in East Yorkshire.

GWO Fire Awareness is a mandatory training qualification that wind turbine technicians must have in order to work in the wind industry.

All of our GWO training courses are led by our instructors with real industry experience all at our Head Office location in Beverley.

Technical Training Manager Jason, who delivers high quality training to our Wind Technicians across the UK and further afield, said “Fire Awareness has been part of our delivery package of GWO training at Boston since 2019.

The GWO training courses at Boston Energy provide participants with the skills, knowledge, confidence and expertise to respond safely and correctly in the event of an emergency on a wind farm asset or installation.

Delivered by professional instructors with vast wind energy and firefighting experience, we ensure participants receive industry specific information and detail and will be able to demonstrate the correct procedures and exercises both practically and theoretically, as outlined by the global industry training standard.

This training includes the experience of a realistic wind turbine environment and fire training using an array of firefighting equipment to tackle a fire and evacuation techniques to safely escape the fire affected area.

We believe the quality of our training product goes some way to positively affect and increase the safety culture in the wind industry.”
