Project Manager

As a Project Manager at Boston Energy, your focus will be on delivering the company’s growth and diversification through structured and controlled methodologies. The role encompasses leading projects, be it new services, customers and geographies. Taking ownership from opportunity conversion to successful delivery, you’ll collaborate and manage a coordination team, ensuring seamless execution in line with the company’s growth strategy. Anticipate a need for flexibility in working hours, reflecting the industry demand and Boston Energy’s expanding business landscape.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Execute projects in line with agreed cost, quality, schedule and HSE targets
  • working with the Head of Operational Delivery, develop, implement, and manage the Project Coordinator team against individual and team KPIs that align with our customer delivery strategy.
  • review technician remuneration details against approved framework agreements.
  • Working with the Head of Technician Retention and Development to ensure frequent and ongoing engagement with our established technician workforce is managed and retained.
  • Work with the Business Development Team to ensure all new project wins are communicated across to the Operational Delivery Team and updated on Bullhorn
  • Responsible for maintaining and developing existing customer relationships through good service and a continuous improvement approach.
  • Coordinate service reviews with our main customer base to measure the success of our service offering and strive for continuous improvement
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
  • Read through customer contracts to ensure contractual compliance and requirements are being met.
  • Utilise Bullhorn in creating, fulfilling, and managing manpower requirements in accordance with the recruitment procedures and processes for candidate placement.
  • Audit team adherence to the use of company systems so that information is logged correctly for recall and reporting purposes.
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
  • Develop a strong understanding of cost control across all projects to ensure we deliver within budget measures.
  • bi-weekly, monthly KPI reviews with project coordinators Complete Performance Reviews with your team to ensure KPIs are measured and achieved
  • Be a point of escalation to resolve issues internally and externally.
  • strong communicator and networker with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships to gain trust and respect
  • Deputise for Head of Operational Delivery as required.
  • Any other tasks as required for the success of our operational delivery

Minimum Qualifications:

  • GCSE or equivalent Mathematics and English
  • Educated to degree standard or equivalent (Desired)
  • Recognised international leadership/management development course (ideally)
  • Recognised H&S certification such as IOSH desirable but not essential

Minimum Previous Experience:

  • Experience working as a project manager or (towards) in the wind industry
  • Experience in managing operational teams
  • Previous recruitment experience desirable but not essential

Other Skills:

  • Full UK Driving License

  • Excellent communication skills, with motivation to achieve targets.
